Dale of Norway presents the 2024 Summer Olympics sweater

Imagine the excitement at The Nordic Shop when the official Norwegian team sweater, Mount Stello, for the Paris Games was unveiled. The initial order of the Mount Stello sweaters was shipped to us already in May, and these exclusive Dale of Norway sweaters were secretly boxed in our storage room. One Mount Stello sweater was taken from the shipment and only our employees were authorized to see it.

After closing the shop one day, we put it on a model and then wrapped it in white cotton fabric. The ghost-like image was then secured with lengths of red ribbon. That was our display of the exclusive Mount Stello sweater by Dale of Norway for the Paris Olympics.

Customers were intrigued and puzzled by this unusual display, as retailers usually want to show their merchandise well so it can be sold. The Mount Stello was under wraps in our store.

This collector’s item design includes the exclusive Team Norway patch.

On May 22, 2024 we had the go ahead from Dale of Norway to reveal it to our customers and the world. Our exclusive unveiling took place on FaceBook Live.

Despite awkwardness while unwrapping the Mount Stello, we succeeded. The Facebook Live was abuzz with comments and questions about the sweater. For 20 minutes, we were able to answer most questions and show all the details of this special Dale of Norway sweater.

The Mount Stello sweater is the official Norwegian team sweater for the Paris Olympics and Paralympics. Dale of Norway has a history of designing and producing Norwegian team sweaters back to 1956. The new sweater has been provided to the team members in 2024. After the unveiling, we can sell the Mount Stello. It is available in men’s and women’s sizing for $295.00.

A white open-work pattern on the back of the sweater features the word NORWAY. This design creates breathability and comfort for the wearer, perfect for a summer garment.

The Mount Stello cardigan carries the name of an imposing mountain in France. The cardigan is knit in super lightweight creamy white merino wool. The full zip design features a red and navy stripe on the chest with an exclusive Team Norway patch at the left. The navy blue detail on the shoulder and the red edge on the cuff give credence to a quality design that has no detail ignored. The red, white, and blue colors celebrate the Norwegian national flag.

The extraordinary design continues on the back with an eight petal rose design and the word NORWAY below the rose. This design is done in a white on white open-work pattern. The pattern is intentional, as the little holes in the design will give the wearer breathability when worn.

The Dale of Norway Mount Stello is the third Summer Games sweater produced. The heritage of summer team sweaters began with Barcelona 1992 and Tokyo 2021. This cardigan is perfect for summer wear if worn only with a T-shirt or lightweight tank top. In the winter, we would suggest a Dale of Norway base layer for extra warmth, such as the Dale of Norway Cortina Superfine base layer top.

The full zip design of the Mount Stello sweater cardigan is both practical and stylish.
