Will Think move to Finland?

The Norwegian electric vehicle manufacturer Think may move production to Finland, as part of a restructuring plan, newspaper VG reported on Aug. 26.

The batteries will “most likely” be made by the American company EnerDel in Indiana, but the “production of the car itself will be moved to Finland,” VG writes. The development and design department will stay in Norway for some time, but these activities will also be moved, the newspaper reports.

Think, which is considered as a pioneer in the electric vehicle industry, started producing the new generation TH!NK city at its assembly plant in Aurskog, east of Oslo, last year. The company today employs around 200 people.

“New and current investors will inject millions of kroner to save Think,” the newspaper said, citing financial sources familiar with the situation.

The company will not comment on the newspaper, but on Twitter they state they are “working to finalize capital increase and production restart.”
