Widerøe Airline – New Checked Baggage Limits

The current baggage allowance on Widerøes domestic flights is 15 kilos per passenger. Infants (children under 2 years) are allowed 10 kilos plus a collapsible stroller. When you travel on any flight with Widerøe, you are entitled to a free baggage allowance at check-in.

On Widerøe’s international flights each passenger is allowed 20 kilos on economy class and 30 kilos on business class.

Eurobonus Silver members are allowed 25 kilos on domestic and 30kilos on international flights. Eurobonus Gold members are allowed 35kilos on domestic and 40kilos on international flights.

Maximum allowed weight per piece is 32 kilos.

New baggage allowance concept – 1. October 2010

The current weight limits are replaced by a harmonized piece concept world wide from the 01. October 2010.

The new free baggage allowance concept will apply on all flights operated by Widerøe (also SAS and Blue1) booked after the 01. July 2010 with departure on and after the 01. October 2010.

As before, baggage is always included in the ticket and you can bring at least one checked bag and one cabin free of charge. Number of bags and weight varies depending on ticket type.
