Wallpaper*: Norway Revealed

To celebrate the annual 100% Norway exhibition which once again returned to the London Design Festival showcasing the best of the country’s furniture and interior products, Wallpaper* partnered with the Norwegian Embassy in London to produce Norway Revealed, a Bespoke supplement bound into the October issue of the magazine.

Norway Revealed includes profiles on many up and coming creatives up and down the land, because when it comes to contemporary design, the country has certainly begun to establish an exciting new scene with a world class output. Combining all that we have always loved about Scandinavian style – the new generation of Norwegian creatives is firmly and proudly rooted in Nordic culture – with a willingness to embrace innovation and new directions, we are very pleased to have an excuse to celebrate its finest young protagonists alongside the country’s burgeoning boutique offerings in travel, food and entertaining.

The London Design festival was full of Norwegians this year with 100% Norway being just one of three Norwegian design showcases across the capital. In the east, ‘Made in Bergen’, which featured works by designers from Norway’s second largest city, and ‘Norwegian Prototypes’, an exhibition of prototypes by some of the country’s most exciting talents, drew large crowds as well. Winning this year’s Eurovision Song Contest was clearly just the beginning – Norway is taking the world’s cultural stage by storm.
