People in the country’s 13 largest municipalities will build rail over road. Also, a majority of Labor voters will give priority to rail before road.

“What do you think politicians should give priority in transport policy in the next few years – construction of roads or railways?” This response analysis prompted the Norwegian population, on behalf of the newspaper.

In the country’s municipalities with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants, is the willingness to prioritize on roads is clear. 65 percent will invest in roads, 25 on rail, 10 percent are uncertain. Roads have the strongest support in Northern Norway, and the over the country as a whole, with 50 to 38 percent.

But the country’s municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants is the opposite. 48 percent will give priority to rail, 38 percent road, 14 percent are uncertain. Largest for railway in Oslo and Akershus, which 53 percent will go on the rail, 35 percent on roads. The largest municipalities represent fairly accurate one-third of the country’s population.
