Tahoe ski resort seeks Vikings for new ads
Granlibakken ski resort at Lake Tahoe with Norwegian roots has issued a video casting call for three men and/or women to play the role of Vikings who will be featured in a national print and Web-based ad campaign.
If you have the looks and manners of Hagar the Horrible or Helga from American Gladiators, then you could get paid to pillage and plunder for two days at Lake Tahoe.
Well, put down the turkey leg, grab Thor’s Hammer and get a job.
To enter the Become a Granlibakken Viking Contest, upload a 60-90-second video entry explaining why you should be a Granlibakken Viking or post a photo below.
Granlibakken representatives will select the top ten videos/photos for in-person auditions by media judges who will narrow the field to the top five — Hagar the Horrible Meets American Idol. From these finalists, the top two will become Vikings and the remaining three will be voted on by the public to pick the final member of the Viking trio. Entries must be posted by April 17, 2009 to qualify. For complete rules, click here.
Prizes:
– The three grand prize winners receive $1,000 and a five-night stay at Granlibakken.
– The ten finalists receive a two-night stay at Granlibakken.
– Each entry receives three nights for the price of two (subject to availability).
