VAL D’ISERE, France (Reuters) – Aksel Lund Svindal kept up his spectacular comeback by taking the super-G bronze medal at the world championships on Feb. 4.
Seriously injured in a downhill crash at Beaver Creek in December 2007, the Norwegian stunned the skiing world by winning a downhill and a super-G on the same piste a year after his accident.
In spite of inconsistent results since, all-rounder Svindal was one of the few who solved the problems posed by the testing Bellevarde course on Wednesday.
