Statsbygg Invites Architects to Compete: National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design
Statsbygg – Public Construction and Property, Norway – has been instructed by the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs to initiate the planning of a new, collective building complex to house the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design on the site of the old Railway Station West (Vestbanen) in Oslo.
Statsbygg invites entries for an open, international planning and design competition for architects. The competition will take place in two phases. Phase 1 is an open, international competition at a general level. Phase 2 is an invitational competition for refinement and detailed design, where selected contestants from Phase 1 will be asked to participate.
Please find invitation and competition programme on Statsbygg’s web site: www.statsbygg.no/nationalmuseum.
The competition was announced on Doffin and Tenders European Daily (TED) on Monday 30 March.
