As a surprise to the Governor of Murmansk, StatoilHydro presented a concert with Norwegian Belarusian Alexander Rybak, the winner of Eurovision 2009, at the Governor’s reception party after the first day of Murmansk International Economical Forum, reports the Barents Observer.
Alexander Rybak performed on the stage in Murmansk together with the modern folk dance company Frikar Thursday evening. Hundres of businessmen, politicans and other participants at the Economical Forum could see and listen to Rybak singing Fairytale and other songs and melodies.
Entering the stage after the concert, Head of StatoilHydro in Russia, Bengt Lie Hansen, said to Murmansk Governor Dmitry Dmitrienko: – When you visited us in Norway, I promised you a surprise. And this is the surprise, said Lie Hansen with a smiling Alexander Rybak by his side.
On the big screen back on the stage, a StatoilHydro promotion film was running while Rybak played.
Alexander Rybak was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, which at that time was a part of the Soviet Union. When he was 4 years old, he and his family moved to Norway. He won won the 54th Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow this spring and is very popular in Russia.
StatoilHydro is official sponsor of the Murmansk International Economical Forum together with Gazprom and Total.
