Soccer: Rosenborg wins to retain Norwegian league lead
Rade Prica scored in the 16th minute to give Rosenborg a 1-0 win at Strømgodset Sunday and a seven-point lead atop the Norwegian first-division standings, reports the Associated Press.
Rosenborg could have won by a much bigger margin but Prica, a Swedish striker who used to play for Sunderland, wasted several chances for the Trondheim side on the artificial turf at Drammen.
Also Sunday, Sandefjord beat Fredrikstad 2-1 away, Bodø Glimt won 1-0 at Lyn, Lillestrøm drew 1-1 with Alesund and Start won 2-1 away at Odd Grenland.
Rosenborg leads the standings with 41 points from 17 games. Molde is second with 34.
