Soccer: Norway – South Africa 1-0
Egil “Drillo” Olsen’s men won 1-0 in a friendly against South Africa in Oslo Saturday evening, reports Norway Post.
Kjetil Wæhler scored for Norway at the beginning of the second half.
Norway put on pressure from the start, and both Gamst Pedersen, Henning Hauger og Erik Huseklepp could have put Norway in the lead early on, but it was 0-0 at half-time.
The pressure continued in the second half, and in the 48th minute Wæhler headed the winning goal after a pass from John Carew.
South Africa will host the Football World Cup 2010.
