“I’m all about energy, soul and contrasts,” says Silya, whose music blends the the best of modern pop, soul, funk and rock with her unique powerhouse vocals and quirky lyrical point of view.
“I have weird stuff happening to me all the time, in relationships and ,you know, life. So I just write about what I know and make use of all my experiences.”
Born and raised in Oslo, Norway Silya was singing in the school choir and playing classical piano from the age of eight. Being a warm blooded Norwegian she was also fascinated with rhythm and latin music,” says SiLyA’s Myspace page.
