Shipowner killed in tragic crash
Shipowner Atle Jebsen, 73, and an employee have been killed in a Norwegian highway accident, reports Trade Winds.
A third person in the car, a man aged 55, has been flown to Bergen’s Haukeland hospital for treatment, according to Norwegian newspapers.
Norwegian media are so far referring to the deceased victims of the accident near Voss in western Norway as “a well known Bergen businessman and a female assistant” but more than one company source indicates to TradeWinds that the reference is to Atle Jebsen. TradeWinds understands that all three in the car were returning from a business trip connected with non-shipping interests of the Jebsens Group.
