Scanpix celebrating 10th anniversary with exhibition

In connection with Scanpix‘s tenth anniversary the photo bureau will exhibit its historical image archive in the terminal at Oslo Airport (OSL).

The exhibition “Rammeverk” can be experienced at OSL from mid-May to the end of August. Most of the photos are at the end of the domestic pier at gates 13 and 15, while the remainder can be seen in the international pier by gate 46.

Scanpix was established when the photo archives of VG, NTB and Aftenposten were combined in the merger between NTB Foto and Scanfoto in 1999. Scanpix manages Norway’s oldest and largest photo archive, which dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. The archive currently contains more than 25 million images.

At the exhibition one can enjoy a selection of photos on the themes of royalty, fashion, history, sports, news / press and idols. The pictures document Norwegian history and are intended to highlight the icons that have contributed to create our common Norwegian identity.

In September the exhibition will be moved to Oslo Central Station before concluding at VG Passage.
