SAS will maintain domestic routes in Norway
SAS will not cut domestic destinations in Norway, despite the deficits and economic restructuring announced on Tuesday Feb. 3.
“The domestic flights will continue as normal,” said Ola H. Strand, CEO of SAS Norway to NRK.
“However, there will be fewer daily flights on some destinations, and we will at the same time cut some holiday destinations, like Oslo-Madeira and Oslo-Bristol,” says information director Knut Morten Johansen of SAS Norway.
SAS Norway was the only national division of SAS that operated with a surplus in 2008.
While the top leaders of SAS Sweden and SAS Denmark resigned from their posts following the announced deficits, SAS Norway’s CEO Ola H. Strand has joined the new SAS management group.
