Rybak meets Obama, Jean, Smith, Westlife

The ruling king of the Eurovision Song Contest, Alexander Rybak, and the President of the United States, Barack Obama, had a chance to meet yesterday in Norway.

alexanderAs announced already before, Rybak is set to perform at today’s Nobel concert in Oslo, Norway. Sadly, it was also revealed that the winner of this year’s prestigious Nobel Peace Prize, president Barack Obama, would not be attending.

Luckily, Rybak still got the chance to meet Obama! Just before the banquet last night, the president wanted to meet all the artists who will perform tonight and so he did.

“It was absolutely fantastic. It was very fine, it was clear that he is a great personality. The atmosphere was a little tense, but very good,” said Rybak to NRK.no.

Alexander also had long talks with Wyclef Jean, Westlife and Will Smith and later he went to the studio with Wyclef to play one of the songs of the rapper.

Alexander Rybak won the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest and scored one of the biggest European hits this year with his Fairytale.
