Norwegian salmon exports hit a record high the week before Easter.

Exported Norwegian salmon hit a record high price per kilo the week before Easter.

The price for exported fresh Norwegian salmon reached NOK 43.61 per kilo during the week before Easter, the highest ever, according to the Export Council for Fish.

The value of exported Norwegian fresh farmed salmon was NOK 7.5 billion in the first quarter of this year.

The average weekly export of fresh farmed salmon from Norway so far this year has been 10,000 to 12,000 tons.

At present, Poland and France are the most important markets.
