She likes to ski and play with the family dog Milly Kakao. In honor of her birthday, the Royal Family has released new photos of the princess.

The photos were taken on the Crown Prince couple’s property Skaugum in Asker on Monday.

In the winter, Princess Ingrid Alexandra likes to ski, and likes to go swimming in the summer. She also likes to play with older brother Marius (13) and younger brother Prince Sverre Magnus.

First official engagement

Despite her young age, Princess Ingrid Alexandra has already had some official engagements, including waving from the palace balcony on Norway’s Constitution Day on May 17, attending church services, baptisms, and other occasions. Last summer, Princess Ingrid Alexandra had her first official engagement in a meeting with her mother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, and environmental officials.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra spoke publicly for the first time when the Royal Family launched its Web site for children in December 2009.

– Velkommen til de nye barnesidene våre. Håper du liker de,” (Welcome to our new Web site for kids. Hope you like it!) said the princess on a video posted on the new Web site, with her grand father, HM King Harald V. Later, Princess Ingrid Alexandra posted a Christmas video for the Royal Family on the Web site.
