Price increase for all house prices in Norway

In Norway house prices now match their peak from the summer of 2007

Apartments in Norway had the largest price increase from the second to the third quarter of 2009; 3.9 per cent. The prices of town houses and detached houses increased by 2.5 and 0.8 per cent respectively, reports Statistics Norway.

Overall, the prices increased by 1.8 per cent from the second to the third quarter of 2009, which means that the house prices are now 3.8 per cent higher than in the third quarter last year.

While prices of apartments became 6.6 per cent more expensive than in the third quarter of 2008, the prices of row houses and detached houses increased by 3.9 and 2.8 per cent in the same period.

Among the largest cities, Oslo including Bærum and Stavanger had the strongest rise in house prices by 4.4 and 3.9 per cent respectively. Trøndelag excl. Trondheim was the region with the lowest price growth, at 0.2 per cent.
