Police plan clamp down on drug abuse
Heavy fines, loss of license and the loss of rights to take care of own children are some of the measures which will be taken against persons caught while purchasing hashish for their own use, NRK reports.
This is part of the Oslo Police’s newly announced fight against the use of hashish in the Norwegian capital.
Already, offenders have been fined up to NOK 10,000, according to reports.
In the worst case, people caught buying hashish could lose the right to care for their own children, Aftenposten writes.
The Oslo Police have also announced that they want to put an end to all street sale of drugs in the capital. Among other measures they will also introduce the use of more mobile police stations.
