Summer participants in Concordia Language Villages’ Norwegian Day Camp (Twin Cities). Our theme for the week was Russefeiring – we wore russeluer, drove a russebil made out of cardboard, made our own russedrakter, and tied knots in our tassels for each prank or challenge we pulled off! We even tried pickled herring! And of course we spoke Norwegian all week long!

12 Norwegian teenagers ford the headwaters of the Mississippi River at Itasca State Park. This field trip fell amidst a two week session at Skogfjorden Norwegian Language Village where they experienced American culture and lived amongst Americans learning Norwegian.
