Petter Northug gives Save the Children 160.000 NOK from World Cup and Olympic Winnings

Every time Petter Northug jr. does well in a ski event, a nice amount of bonus money from his sponsor (audit firm BDO) goes to Save the Children.

This year’s dream season for Petter Northug jr. has been extra costly for the company’s auditor BDO.

“After this year’s season, it will be around 160,000 kroner to Save the Children”, says Helena Julusmoen, marketing manager at BDO to NRK.

Triangle Sponsoring

BDO has signed a long-term agreement with which both the company and BDOs employees are to contribute to Save the Children’s work.  Petter Northug is also included in this collaboration, and is an ambassador for Save the Children.

It is in connection with this that the Save the Children will receive bonus money from Petter Northug jr.

According to the sponsorship agreement World Cup victories and championship medal bonuses triggered the bonuses.  Petter Northug has chosen to provide all the performance-oriented bonuses from BDO to the Save the Children.
