The popular Oslo Culture Night will be held for the fifth time September 18. As always there is an endless list of events and activities to choose from, and everything is free!

Oslo Culture Night 2009 wants to honor “Oslo, the Music City”. The Norwegian capital hosts 5,000 music events every year, which is more than Copenhagen and Stockholm combined. Music events at Culture Night will include “Wet Sounds” at Tøyenbadet, the world’s only underwater sound gallery, samba in the Opera House, jazz concerts at Victoria, the Sølvguttene choir at Tveten farm and a number of other concerts.

In addition to the music events Culture Night can offer film screenings, dance performances, poetry readings, art exhibitions, open museums, guided tours, drawing and painting workshops, lectures, dance classes, theatre performances, children’s activities and much more.

There will also be a big Culture Night Show at Eidsvolls plass (Spikersuppa, between the Parliament and the National Theatre) with talented young musicians. And don’t miss the fireworks at City Hall Square at 11 pm!
