Oslo 2010 theme art goes to production
The Host Broadcaster of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, NRK, has revealed the companies who will produce the overall graphic design and visual identity for the upcoming event.
Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Producer of the 2010 edition of Europe’s favourite TV-show, told Eurovision.tv that the lucky companies who will have a chance to create the visual identity for the contest, have been chosen.
And companies – in plural – it is. Namely, the highly prestigious companies Gosu Design together with the architects from Snøhetta and the designers from Handverk won the contest to create all of it.
No details about the theme art have yet been revealed but stay tuned – you’ll find this first at Eurovision.tv!
Since 2004, the Eurovision Song Contest has a generic logo where in the heart of it the flag of the Host Country is displayed. However, every year the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) invites the Host Broadcaster to create the visual identity to support the logo.
The 55th Eurovision Song Contest will be held on the 25th, 27th and 29th of May next year, in the capital of Norway.
