Norwegians dominate World Cup cross country sprint
Norwegian men took the top five finishes in a World Cup cross country sprint on January 25 in Otepää, Estonia. The race was dominated by Ola Vigen Hattestad, who took an early lead and was a clear winner ahead of his teammates Øystein Pettersen and Børre Næss.
Hetland and last year’s winner Eldar Rønning placed 4th and 5th. On the women’s side the best Norwegian, Maiken Caspersen Falla placed 8th. Slovenia’s Pera Majdic won the women’s race ahead of three Finns.
In the sprint World Cup, Ola Vigen Hattestad increased his lead to 480 points, second is Tor Arne Hetland (NOR) with 317 points and third is John Kristian Dahl (NOR, 174 points).
