Norwegian short film nominated for prestigious award

The Norwegian short film, Naboen has been nominated for the prestigious TV award Rose d’Or 2010.
This is a fantastic recognition for a short film that does not fall into mainstream entertainment, and especially that we are nominated together with the application from the heavy cultural channels such as Arte, BBC and Channel 4, says producer Jeanette Sundby of Nordisk Film & TV.
The film is nominated in the category Art Documentary & Performing Arts, and will be broadcast on NRK.
Has stopped communicating
The film is an everyday drama in which two people who have stopped communicating are about to move apart. The specific practical tasks of packing, loading moving boxes and deciding what is mine and yours is in progress. But a neighbor who plays music in the neighboring apartment contributing unwittingly to influence the process between the two. Line Tørmoen and Dimitri Jourde play the main roles of the pair, while the pianist Leif Ove Andsnes performs as the neighbor.
Naboen is directed by Stein-Roger Bull and Jo Strømgren. Strømgren, who is known as a choreographer, director and dancer, has also written scripts.
Previous Montreux
The film received 1, 5 million in production subsidies by the Norwegian Film Institute at the short film consultant Kalle Løchen in 2009.
Rose d’Or is the main and only global award in the television industry, and is also the name of the festival that share it. Previously, the competition known as an entertainment festival in Montreux, where NRK has repeatedly reaped awards.
