Norwegian research and innovation at a glance
An abridged version of the national 2009 indicator report on Norwegian research and innovation is now available in English, providing non-Norwegian readers with an overall description of the status of Norwegian science and technology activities.
The report includes key figures and analysis relating to such themes as
expenditures for and funding of R&D and human resources
- cooperation in R&D and innovation
- results of R&D measured in terms of publication and citation
- patents and innovation in Norwegian industry.
Time series and international data have been included.
The S&T Indicators Report 2009 has been compiled from the results of the national 2007 statistical survey on resources devoted to research and experimental development (R&D), the 2006 innovation study and other relevant statistics and studies.
The national indicator report on Norwegian research and innovation is published biennially by the Research Council of Norway in collaboration with NIFU STEP (Norwegian Institute for studies in Innovation, Research and Education) and Statistics Norway (SSB).
