As of June 17, all passengers flying with Norwegian are required to wear face masks, which they themselves must provide. Before departure, the airline will inform all passengers about their requirements, which are in line with recommendations from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
SAS made face masks mandatory already on May 18. The Norwegian government does not require them but has clarified that masks may be required for foreign travel.
On June 11, the government announced that middle seats could once again be occupied, reversing the April 28 requirement for them to remain empty.
“We are now adjusting our guidelines in line with international recommendations, also in regard to distancing and other measures to prevent infection,” said Minster of Transport Knut Arild Hareide in a press release.
