Norwegian movie screening this week!

Do you live in Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Denver, or Portland? Do you enjoy Norwegian films? Check out these special screenings of the movie “Thale” coming up this week!

Thursday and Friday April 4–5, “Thale” will be screened at several theaters across the U.S.

Though we’ve seen a few Norwegian films feature trolls, “Thale” features another mythical Norwegian creature you may have heard of before: the huldra!

Synopsis: Two crime scene cleaners discover a mythical tailed, female creature in a concealed cellar. She never utters a word, unable to tell her story, but the pieces of the puzzle soon come together; she’s been held captive for decades for reasons soon to surface.

Badass Digest says. “‘Thale’ is a rare thing, at times haunting, atmospheric, hilarious, violent and wholly beautiful. It’s an intimate tale about larger than life obstacles that manages to elicit gentle humanity all the while.
