Norwegian Christmas Fair in NYC
The popular annual Norwegian Christmas Fair takes place at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church, Thursday November 19, thru Saturday November 21. Do not miss out on this extraordinary Christmas Fair and its cultural program!
Norwegian handcrafts, woodcrafts, “nisser”, knitwear, jewelry, Norwegian fashion items, decorations, ornaments and table cloths. These are just some of the numerous items you will be able to find at the annual Christmas Fair. In addition, you may find a large selection of Norwegian food in our cafeteria with “Smorgasbord”. You may buy traditional Norwegian cookies, and raffle tickets will be sold for several beautiful prizes.
In connection with the fair, Sonja Dalen and her pianist Walter Troelsen will hold a concert on Friday November 20, at 1pm. Sonja has sung at the Seamen’s Church in New York and around the world on many occasions. She had the honor of having the very lars concert in Brooklyn Seamen’s Church and sang at the opening of the new church in New York City – including two events attended by the Norwegian Royal family.
Walter Troelsen is a Danish pianist, singer, composer, arranger and producer. He has recorded several albums, one of which went to No. 1 in the charts in the Middle East. He also has his own TV shows in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Europe. Troelsen performs and arranges jazz, classical, pop music, and numbers from musicals.
