Norway wins World Travel Awards
Hotel Continental was voted Norway’s leading hotel, while Clarion Hotel Royal Christiania was named Norway’s leading business hotel in Lisbon, Portugal on Oct. 17.
The 16th World Travel Awards winners were voted on by travel professionals from all over the world, and Wall Street Journal has called it “the Oscars of the travel industry”.
Hotel Continental was named Norway’s best hotel for the fifth year in a row. The prize for Norway’s top business hotel, won by Clarion Hotel Royal Christiania, was handed out for the first time.
Quality Spa & Resort Holmsbu was named Norway’s Leading Spa Resort and Radisson SAS Resort Beitostolen was named Norway’s Leading Ski Resort.
Oslo was a nominee in the category Europe’s leading cruise destination, but Lisbon won the award.
The World Travel Awards were launched in 1993 and recognizes travel industry excellence in in several hundred categories.
The World awards will be handed out in London on November 7.
