Norway PM defends strong state as election starts

OSLO, Sept 13 (Reuters) – Norway’s prime minister defended on Sunday his government’s cautious tactics in steering the economy through crisis, as early voting began in a closely fought parliamentary election.

Polls show Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg’s centre-left coalition neck-and-neck with the right-of-centre opposition.
