Norway NAV Jobless Rate Rises In July
(RTTNews) – Norway’s jobless rate increased in July from the previous month, the Norwegian Labor and Welfare Organization or NAV said on Friday.
The jobless rate rose to 3% in July from 2.8% in the previous month. The jobless rate increased for the second straight month. Economists had expected a rate of 3.1%. A year earlier, the jobless rate was 3%.
The number of unemployed persons totaled 78,242 in July, larger than 71,627 persons in the previous month, the NAV said. There were 45,600 registered unemployed men in July, which was 2% smaller than the previous year. At the same time, the number of women unemployed rose 5% to 32,600.
