Norway Energy Agency Allocated NOK1.1B For Four Wind Farms

The Norwegian state agency ENOVA has allocated NOK 1.1 billion to be used to support the development of four new wind power projects located in the counties of Troms, Nordland, Nord-Trøndelag and Rogaland.

This is the largest amount ever granted to the development of wind power in Norway, and the funds come from the Government’s financial crisis package provided for the support of Norwegian economy.  The four windmill parks will produce a total of 456 GWh, or enough el power for 23,000 households.  

Enova SF is owned by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE). It was established to take a leading role in promoting environmentally friendly restructuring of energy consumption and energy generation in Norway. Enova’s goal is to make it easier for public and private enterprises to choose simple, energy-efficient and environmentally correct solutions.
