Norway Arrests 3 Terror Suspects
Two men are jailed in Oslo and a third has been arrested in Germany after the Norwegian Police Security Service alleged they planned to carry out bombings as part of an international al Qaeda scheme.
Norwegian officials didn’t release the men’s names but said one was a Chinese Uighur, now a Norwegian citizen; the second was an Iraqi-Kurdish man with a residency permit; and the third was a man from Uzbekistan, also with a Norwegian residency permit. They’d been shadowed for a year. The conspiracy is reportedly another part of a foiled bomb plot last year on New York City’s subway system.
