Tom Nordlie led Kongsvinger to seven victories and two ties in nine games in his second term in the club.

Kongsvinger and Tom Nordlie has completed talks today, and Nordlie will not be KIL-coach next season.
“We had an orderly and constructive dialogue, but the distance between me and the board was too large. I do not feel I can put my name behind the offer they made,” said Tom Nordlie to fvn.no.
Kongsvinger had a tremendous season with Nordlie as a coach in the fall, and secured a place in the first division with flying colors.
The club was clear that they wanted Nordlie to come back, but they could not agree on a contract both parties were satisfied with.
“This is about the resources to build a good squad, with a good support system. Not my salary. But when a club like Bodø/Glimt has a NOK 28 million budget and Kongsvinger reduces its budget, then the economic distance is just too great,” said Nordlie to Aftenposten.
