“No EU application from Norway”
The Socialist Left Party (SV) and the Centre Party (SP) have made it clear that an application for Norwegian EU membership is ruled out in the next four years, if the red-green government is re-elected in September.
“For SP it is an absolute condition that an application will not be submitted during the next four years,” says SP deputy leader Trygve Slagvold Veum to the newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.
SV has expressed the same view, while the third coalition partner, the Labor Party (AP) does not want to comment on the issue.
