New Political Advisor at the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy
The Office of the Prime Minister in Norway has from April 15 appointed Mr. Jarand Felland (38), head of section, Oslo, as political advisor to Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje Riis-Johansen.
Jarand Felland comes from a post at Statkraft. 2004-2009 he worked at the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy’s department for energy and water resources. He has also been a lawyer with Brækhus Dege in Oslo and deputy judge at Hallingdal District Court. Felland achieved his law degree at the University of Bergen in 1997. He has been deputy leader of Oslo Centre Party 2006-2009 and county leader of the Centre Party’s youth branch in Telemark 1998-2000.
The Government represents the Labor Party (Lab.), the Socialist Left Party (Soc.) and the Centre Party (Cent.).
