New Norwegian airline from OSL
Earlier this month newspaper Dagens Næringsliv reported on a newly established airline Feel Air, which plans to start direct routes to Asia and the U.S. from Oslo Airport Gardermoen.
The new company will focus on long-distance budget flights and has selected New York and Bangkok as the first destinations in the spring of 2010. Feel Air will use an Airbus 330-200 for its service.
Managing Director of Oslo Lufthavn AS, Nic. Nilsen, is very positive towards the plans. “Every new airline is important to us in order to generate new traffic. Oslo is underdeveloped in terms of overseas traffic, and this may make Gardermoen an even more important hub than today, and also strengthen our position in Eastern Norway.”
