In less than one year, the doors of the new National Museum in Oslo will finally open after several postponements.

It was Minister of Culture Abid Raja who announced the opening date of June 11, 2022, at a digital event. Raja used the opportunity to pay tribute to the new museum building.

“The Norwegian National Museum is a building, a house, a home for art and culture second to none on par with the Guggenheim or Tate. It will be an international building open to the world, placing us among the highest elite in the international art world,” said Raja.
