'Mostly Nordic' series opens with Norwegian pianist's elegant sounds
Pianist Knut Erik Jensen kicks off Seattle’s “Mostly Nordic!” chamber series with an all-Norwegian lecture-recital at the Nordic Heritage Museum
Devotees of piano music can look forward to a little keyboard elegance from Hell this Sunday.
Hell, Norway, that is — a small town east of Trondheim where pianist Knut Erik Jensen was born.
Jensen, 28, will present an all-Norwegian “lecture-recital,” including short works by the country’s most famous composer, Edvard Grieg, and an old staple of “favorite piano music” anthologies, Christian Sinding’s “Rustle of Spring.”
