Mette-Marit speaks out in new book
Crown Princess Mette-Marit has written the preface of the new book “Skapsprengere” (translated: “Those who blow up the closet”), written by Anniken Huitfeldt (Norwegian Minister of Children and Equality) and Kurt Ole Linn (Senior adviser at The Ministry of Children and Equality).
The book, which was released by Aschehoug on Aug. 12, tells the “coming out” stories of 17 different homosexuals and lesbians living in Norway.
The Crown Princess says: “I hope that this book will create discussion and reflection about how important it is to be allowed to be a whole human being, and how we can help each other to become just that.”
The book will be handed out in Norwegian schools.
