In his speech Lysbakken says, among other things, “I am keen to maintain good dialogue with the immigrant population and its representatives. Firstly, we must stand united in our grief, in working through the shock, and in creating security. I welcome your advice, suggestions and experience in this endeavor. Secondly, we must stand united in mapping out a course for Norway that can bring Norwegians of different backgrounds together, reduce antagonism in our society and create an even more tolerant and inclusive society. I also look forward to hearing your views on this matter.”
