Gustav Lorentzen, known as the Ludvigsen Knutsen and Ludvigsen, died Wednesday.

Gustav Lorentzen died of cardiac arrest during an orienteering outside Bergen on Wednesday.

Gustav Lorentzen was a vocalist, guitarist, composer, writer and presenter. He was best known as a musician, but was also an ambassador for UNICEF, the author of twelve books and a persistent proponent of culture to children.

On Facebook, there are already created a memorial page, and the number of members increases every second.

Gustav Lorentzen have received Grammy Award six times, four as a solo performer.

Gustav Lorentzen had his early childhood in Bergen, but finished school in Trondheim. There he trained for the degree in acoustics, and met Øystein Dolmen, which he started the duo Knutsen & Ludvigsen with. They divorced in 1986 and Lorentzen moved back to Bergen and started his solo career.

Gustav Lorentzen released a total of 17 discs. Both as one half of Knutsen and Ludvigsen, and as a solo performer.
