Looking for beer in Oslo

Aftenposten journalist TROND BRUCE HANSEN traveled from Trondheimsveien, up Thorvald Meyers gate, taking a left onto Sannergata, back down Markveien – until he concluded in Søndregate, right by the river again.

Südøst, just below Løkka, has this beer guide’s highest pint price. Alexandria, which you can see from Südøst, has the area’s cheapest. But the surroundings are not the same. The sparkling rivers, green lawns and beautiful trees are replaced by thundering traffic. Skotuppene can still be expansive to stretch your legs at the tables on the sidewalk on Thorvald Meyers gate.

18 outdoor restaurants were visited by Oslopuls. The average price of a pint of beer at around 60 krone ($10). Seating spaces vary from 280 seats to less than ten. Ølutvalget impress. Many of these places have more beers to offer in addition to the regular draft beer.

Beers from around the world are on the menu. Also the more unfamiliar Norwegian beer producers, such as E. On Nøgne Park Theatre, you can choose from six types of draft beer and 30 kinds of bottled beers. Daqota and Aku Aku deadlines also many interesting beers for the thirsty palates.

Grünerløkka is in many ways a pleasant place to wander on a warm spring evening or morning for that matter. But be early. New regulations mean that many of terraces must close the taps at 22 for dining outdoors. Do you have a morning thirst, it is possible starting at eight o’clock in the morning.
