Latest Norwegian election opinion polls

As many as than 622,000 Norwegians have already casted votes in the run-up to Norway’s parliamentary election, reports Regjeringen.no on Sept. 11. This is nearly triple the amount of advance and absentee voting compared to the last election in 2005.

As the heat is building up, four new opinion polls just published were evenly split over whether the centre-left government will retain its majority or lose it to the opposition.

A poll by Opinion showed the right-of-centre opposition winning 95 seats in the 169-member parliament, 10 more than it needs to win a majority.

The TNS Gallup survey showed the opposition winning 90 seats with 77 seats for the centre-left government parties and one seat for radical left party Red.

The centre-left government keeps its majority in a survey by Respons, winning 86 seats in parliament with 83 seats for the opposition. In the last survey by InFact, the government wins 85 seats against 84 seats for the opposition.

The ruling coalition currently holds 87 seats and the opposition 82. Red currently holds no seats.

The final results will be posted on Valgresultat.no in the evening on Sept. 14.
