Largest Space contract awarded to a Norwegian company
Nammo Raufoss has signed a contract with the European space company EADS Astrium for 700 rocket motors.
The total scope of supply represents the need for Separation Boosters (FE), Acceleration Boosters (FA) and Safe & Arm devices (BSA) for 35 launches of the European Spacecraft ARIANE 5 built by Astrium.
This important contract for Nammo Raufoss represents a significant production volume of high-tech space products for the next 5 years.
The value of the ARIANE 5 contract for Nammo Raufoss is about 150 Million NOK, which is the largest contract ever awarded to a Norwegian company within the Space industry.
Nammo Raufoss has by this contract proven their competitiveness in a demanding space market.
