Lance Armstrong to race in Oslo Grand Prix
Some of the world’s top cyclists, including multiple Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, will spin around the Norwegian capital on Wednesday evening. 60 Norwegians will compete against the American champion.
The Oslo Grand Prix, which will be held in the Oslo city center, will also feature Norway’s Thor Hushovd and Kurt Asle Arvesen.
The race will start and finish at Karl Johansgate at the University square. The course is approx. 1000 meters long and will go through Rosenkrantz gate, Kristian IVs gate and Fredriks gate. The race will last for 90 minutes.
On Thursday Aug. 20 Armstrong (37), who is a cancer survivor, will hold a lecture at Folketeateret. Lance is the man behind the Livestrong Foundation, which is a global initiative in the fight against cancer.
