Jarle Bernhoft to appear on "The Ellen Degeneres Show"

Jarle Bernhoft
Bernhoft’s management Atomic Soul and the record company Universal said that their big-selling artist will perform on the Ellen show Sept. 27.
Bernhoft is a 35-year-old Norwegian singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and lyricist. He is from Nittedal in Norway, but currently lives in Oslo. His best known songs are “Streetlights”, “Shout”, “Choices” and “C’mon Talk”.
“They saw me on YouTube, and called me. There is no more hocus-pocus to it than that,” said Bernhoft to VG.
The popular talk show has nearly three million views on average. Bernhoft, however, denies that he is nervous.
“No, not really. What I will be nervous about is this kind of “in the living room in people’s homes” concert,” he says.
It is rare for Norwegian artists to get the chance to appear on American TV programs in this way. One of the most talked about was Maria Mena’s appearance with David Letterman in 2004, where the young pop star struggled to sing on-tune.
Bernhoft has no plans for a greater U.S. commitment. Prior to the DeGeneres show he will play two concerts in New York and one in Boston. There is no talk about a new record release yet.
