“Hearts In Motion” to perform in the Big Apple
The Norwegian, Oslo-based Gospel Choir, Hearts in Motion (HIM) will perform during the church service at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church on Sunday April 5. HIM is a leading Norwegian gospel choir.
HIM consists of 20 hand picked singers at the age of 20-35. The repertoire mainly features american contemporary gospel favorites. Their performances are often reffered to as vibrant, engaging and genuine, and the musical quality just as impressing.
This is the second time the choir tours in the U.S., and in the near future their second live album, “Come on in” is to be released. Arranger, conductor and musical director is Øystein Lund Olafsen, who founded the choir back in 2000.
Collaborated with Hanne Krogh and Josh Groban
In addition to countless concerts and performances all across Norway over the years, the choir has collaborated with some of Norway’s most renowned artists, i.e. Hanne Krogh, Elisabeth Andreassen, Jan Werner Danielsen, Marianne Antonsen and many more. The choir was also selected to perform with Josh Groban at a concert in Norway 2007. In 2003 the choir had the honor of appearing in the Nobel Peace Price Concert in Oslo.
